OxyFree
Guldager OxyFree protects the piping system of the installation against rust.
In general, OxyFree is an electrolytic process in a closed system and is provided with aluminium anodes.
An oxygen bond is developed on the inner surface of the tank, which serves the function of the cathode, so that the oxygen content of the central heating water rapidly gets under the limit, at which corrosion occurs. At the same time the process increases the pH value and thereby stabilises the corrosion preventing process.
The OxyFree plant is made up of a treatment section, an electronics unit, a pump, a filter and a pipe strainer, which are all assembled in a part circuit. The treatment section consists of a black plate steel tank with an aluminium electrode. The pump provides a constant flow in the part stream.
Softened Water
To avoid any inappropriate formation of sludge, the water in the system must be softened, and any later dilute must be with softened water.
